Go where a lot of people are gathering online, do something noticeable, then link back to your blog/website.
With this simple principle you can draw up- 100 ways to build traffic to your blog.
Let’s Break Down the Web Traffic Principle a Little
-
Go where a lot of people are gathering:
This refers to popular places, online, forums, social web etc.
-
Do something noticeable:
Say something, give something, stand out, be different, be noticed or make a comment .
-
Link back to your blog/website
If you make a great contribution on these website odds are people will click on the link you provide to head to your blog or website. That’s what brings traffic to your blog.
This principle is not as easy as it seems but will help in identifying the right places to go online for your purpose of promoting and building traffic tp your blog or website.
let’s discuss
1. Does this principle work?
2.What would you add or subtract from the principle?
Thanks for your commnets in advance.

That is exactly it! It isn’t necessarily the most talented people getting the traffic, it is those that are grabbing the attention. I love commenting on other blogs for this reason, but another golden tip is to guest post!

Tom,
guest posting is the biggest attention grabber..i totally agree. commenting also works too
You have mentioned a lot of the most popular traffic building principles, but 1 key point is missing
This is about taking action to make something done. And this is where begins the traffic building itself.
Nice try

Iwoodpecker,
Taking action is very important but if you noticed ,in the post i said, go to ,do something and get your link ..These are all action words ..if one doesn’t do them ,no traffic comes.
secondly, taking action on the wrong things will not get you anywhere fast.
It is easy to say,go to youtube,go to ezinearticles etc but it is much better to understand why you need to go to these places and how to build traffic from there..(the prinicple behind it).
All the same thanks for the comment
This principle surely works. Because I came to your site from another site where you wrote about blogging as a process vs an event. I have started a blog 2 months ago as part of an academy I have founded. Got very excited about the whole blogging thing. But realize that it is a lot of work to make a mark.
.-= Ganapathy´s last blog ..Remembering Randy Pausch =-.
Hi Ganapathy,
yes it is a lot of work but with persistence and consistency we can succeed.
i wish you all the best in academy project and thanks for stopping by and commenting..
i appreciate it.
it is really hard to build massive traffic on a website. you need to promote your website by blog commenting or PPC advertising’;:
I do agree with all the ideas you have presented in your post. They’re really convincing and will certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are too quick for novices. May just you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
