story telling ideas for blog post IDEA 23: STORY TELLING

Another way of building great and unique content for your blog is the use of a great tool called stories. Story telling is old art and tool that has been used over the ages.

It is a very powerful tool still used today in politics, marketing, music, literature and other human activities.

You can also use it to create great content for your blog.

So far you have read over 20 ideas for developing blog post content ideas, using these ideas you can add stories as part of the content or make stories the main content. You can give lessons or morals of your stories at the end of the post.

Another thing is, your story must be relevant and meaningful and in context with the headline or other information on the blog post.

Types of Stories to Tell

Like was mentioned you can tell stories along with whatever content you have written for Ideas 1-23.

For a complete list of types of stories you can tell, read up these valuable resources.

  1. 9 types of marketing stories to tell
  2. how to tell a good story

Personal Stories

This is the most emotionally connecting type of story you can tell. It usually involves you revealing something about yourself, exposing an experience (good or bad), that other people can relate with.

People are usually emotionally connected to stories they have experienced or things that have happened to them. Something they can relate to. This is very important when you are telling stories.

For example, a story about your visit to the moon maybe very cool but will not resonate with many of your readers because they may have never been to the moon but if you tell a story about your life and experiences College, people will relate to it because they have probably been to college too and may have had similar experiences. A few live examples of stories are:

Other People’s Personal Stories

Just like you can tell your personal stories, you can tell other peoples personal stories too. Using the same guide, make sure the story is relevant and has information people can relate with.

And you can tell the story as   part of the content or as the main content itself.

Now the great thing about telling stories is that no one can have exactly the same experiences that you have and hence no one can tell exactly the same stories you tell. This means that   stories are one of the most unique ideas and content you can have on blog.

Just make sure it has lessons and value that can be gleaned from it.

Great idea and certainly an area that i can improve upon. I tend not to get very personal on my blog. I am thinking about starting a blog on my domain dan-keller.com and I will be able to tell personal stories that at the same time will help others lean from my experiences.

Personal stories can be some of the most powerful content you create.

You could write a really informative post that people find very helpful but other bloggers do this as well.

However, telling your unique story and adding your voice to posts creates an everlasting impression :)
