There are many free and paid resources including tools, websites, products and services that have helped me in so many ways.
I recommend them to you and is an affiliate to some of them.
They include.
1. Research tools
Used for researching keywords, tagging, SEO, product research etc.
2. Alert tools
These tools inform me when my targeted keywords, name, blog name or URL is mentioned anywhere on the internet.

3. Domain name
One of the first assets you will need online is a domain name. There are many good places to buy domain names.
www.wordoid.com is a free tool that can help you find good, brandable and easily remembered domain name.
4. Hosting
Hosting is very important for any type of online business. There are many good hosting companies you can use but the top 2 are BlueHost and Hostgator.
WordPress.org recommends BlueHost but Hostgator is also highly recommended by many companies and individuals.
You can use any of them but I use fatcow. It makes installation of wordpress blogs simple.
5.List building
This is another activity that is needed in building a successful online business. Autoresponders and email-marketing services are used in list building. There are a few good Autoresponders and many things to consider when choosing one.
I use MailChimp.
6. Design
A website or blog needs design in branding and differentiation .for blog there are so many free themes.
I first used a free premium theme from www.web2feel.com . you can search for more free themes online or you can buy a premium theme from woothemes. They have very unique themes.
