Time is a commodity ones used can never be gained and like Busta Rhymes said in the Burial Song, a track from his Extinction Level Event album,
“There is no time to take time for granted”.
To that, I say very true.
So creating enough time or giving enough time to more productive activities like writing blog posts, marketing, product developments and promoting your blog is very essential but is a problem many blogger face.
Some people call it a problem of time management.
But before I discuss how I saved time, let me reveal …
How I Was I Wasting Time Online On Unproductive Activities
One way I wasted time online was checking my E-mail.
Whenever I am online, I always spend time checking and reading my e-mails. (And thank God, I am not a facebook freak. It is another big time waster)
Well, there is really nothing wrong with checking your e-mails if you have only a few mails, but in my case I usually have lots of e-mails from many newsletters and other sources.
This is the consequence of downloading too many ethical bribes.
But this was a big problem.
It filled my e-mail box with hundreds of e-mails and newsletters.
These mails were mostly sent to market or persuade me to buy a product or service or to push me to join another list.
But recently, I decided all that had to stop.
How I Saved More Time
I decided to unsubscribe from as many lists as possible especially from marketers who only cared about making a sale from my subscription.
At the end, I unsubscribed from 7 e-mail lists that were actively sending me mails almost daily.
Consequence Of Unsubscribing From these E-Mail newsletters
So with this recent action:
- I will reduce the number of emails I receive
- It will give me more time to do more important things
- It will help me focus and read emails from people that really care about me and success.
And also, I have decided to stop taking ethical bribes but, if I get really tempted to do so, I will. Then I will give the subscription some time to see what sort of emails the send me.
If they only try to sell me something, I will unsubscribe with no hard feelings.
Simple.
So what about you?
Do you have crazy unread e-mails crawling all over you e-mail account?
If these e-mails are from marketers don’t add value to you, here is what I suggest you do.
Open the e-mail, scroll down to the button of the page…look for this word
UNSUBSCRIBE…
Hit that link and do whatever it says.
It will help you kill those e-mails and create more time for more important things.
What do you have to say about this, we’ll be glad to hear from you.

If you ever read Internet Marketing Sins by Sylvie Fortin, you would know by now that unsubscribing can be useless sometimes as the aggressive and unscrupulous internet marketers will go behind you back and sign you up again. This is why after enough “Report As Spam” clicking in my inbox, 99% of email sales pitches I receive end up in my spam folder where there belong.
Sorry you think FaceBook is a time waster as some productive things can be done there as well though I lurk around for the fun of it. I just love checking up on my friends’ updates and leaving silly or constructive comments.lol
