HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR WORDPRESS THEME?

This is  a question that  may be bugging new bloggers and some old bloggers alike.

Picking a good theme is a very important action that must be taken when starting a blog.

If you have been reading this blog for a while you would have noticed that i have been changing themes like a nursing mum changing baby diapers.

In fact, in the last 2 months i have changed and tried up to 10 different wordpress themes.

My plan is to buy a premium theme (most likely headway) in future but for now i want to grow this blog with a free theme.but even with the millions of free themes out there it been a roller coaster ride for me to finally settle on one .

Here are some of the reasons why :

1. I need to have a unique blog design

2.I would love a blog theme that features my recent posts

3.I don’t want a very complicated blog theme something i can handle (i don’t know much about code)

How did you pick yours?

I have a few questions for you .

First of all ,what is a good wordpress blog theme?

Do you consider your wordpress theme good enough for your blog?

Why do you think so?

What did you consider when you picked yours?

What did you look out for?

Are you using a free theme?

What should other bloggers look out for?

Which kinds of theme should one avoid?

why do you like about the theme you are using on your blog?

What do you think about the theme on this blog and how can i improve it?

Are free themes good enough?

please, lets discuss these in the comments.

Thanks for all your comments in advance?

  1. I think you should keep this one for now. It is incredibly clean and easy on the eye! I chose my current theme because it was the best free theme that I found suited my needs. I will keep it for a couple of months until I eventually buy a developers license for Thesis!

  3. I quite agree with Tom. This theme looks good and you might just be better off sticking with it till you buy a premium theme like Thesis. I took me like 3 themes to get to my current theme which I love so much ;) . The thing with free themes is that you have to work hard on them to individualize them so that they don’t look like every other blog using the same theme.

I quite good @ coding so hacking into my theme is kind of a hobby for me. I tweak a lot which can sometimes not be good as I could end up messing things up and have to spend mins/hours to fix them ;)
