Blog Project Post
A blog project is the act of blogging about a project you are currently undergoing. It could be an experiment (offline or online), an activity, a commitment, a goal or anything interesting.
While you are at the project you can make blog posts of your progress. It doesn’t matter if you succeed or fail. The main aim is to fill people in on the progress, challenges, victories, problems, successes you encountered while you are actively doing the project. It is like your own special reality TV where people check up on you to see your progress.
It is like a series post.
A good example of blog project post is one a blog project where a lady blogged about cooking the delicacies found in a cookery book. It landed her a book deal and movie deal.
Another one is about a blogger who started a company in 7 days using minimum fund all by himself.
Example of blog project are:
- Project 100 guest posts –where you decide to do 100 guest posts on other blogs. Here you would write about the processes involved in writing, looking for blogs to guest post, challenges, progress, successes etc.
- Information Product in 30 days-where you can blog about the process involved in your quest to produce an information product for sale on your blog. You will discuss the processes you took, the activities, your challenges, the lessons etc and anything you did related to making the project a success.
It is good (but not compulsory) to have a blog project related to the content or theme of your blog.
There are few benefits of having blog projects.
- There are easily linked to by other blogs(good link baits)
- Traffic and exposure
Resource Post
Like the name implies it is a post that features links to resources or blog post written by others about a particular subject. It is similar to the link love type of post but the only difference is that the link love posts usually showcases posts around the web loved by the blogger and is not usually about a particular topic or theme.
Resource post usually involves a bit of research because you will have to look for very helpful post around the topic you want to write about.
It is sometimes a combination of list post and link love post. You will list links to useful resources all around the web around a particular topic.
The sweet thing about this type of post is that it can help you start a relationship and build reciprocity with other bloggers. This type of post acts like an aggregator of the best resource about a particular topic.
Examples of live resource post on the internet are:
Is there any particular topic in your niche that others have written extensively about? Can you find them and link to them in a post.
